Faith, Family, Freedom, and the Responsibility of Health

At Cardio Miracle, we were founded by a family with a very strong faith, belief system, and long held familial devotion to Christianity.

We believe the United States of America was founded upon the principles based within the Holy Bible, allowing for the practice of freedoms with speech, faith, and family. We are very grateful for this blessing and do all we can to uphold this Promise.

There are a few things that tend to matter most, no matter the season of life you’re in.

Faith.
Family.
Freedom.

For many, these aren’t just ideas. They’re priorities. Anchors. The things everything else is built around. And they all have something in common: they require you to show up.

As a boy, my parents would gather us around the ottoman in the living room to say family prayer. I have carried this practice into our family tradition. If I forget, the kids remind me.

This is what exercising faith and family looks like. We find it to be a foundational piece of our identity, and long for it, work towards it, attend church, read scripture, treat our bodies as a temple.

When it comes to freedom, what can be our role in preserving our freedoms?

In 2014, the war in Afghanistan was raging.

The US Troops were low on morale, and reached out to me with the request to come and lift their spirits through music, motivation, and message.

It was a dangerous request. I had a family of 4 young children. I asked my wife what I should do, as I was honored by the request, but scared to go.

She reminded me I had always longed to perform for the Troops, this was my dream, and a way I could serve the country in a very roundabout, but equally, profound way.

And so, we tripled my life insurance and I went to Afghanistan!

Along with a band of speakers and entertainers, all of the same faith, we collectively donated nearly a month of our time to march into the storm, and perform a show that would galvanize our beloved troops.

From the big stages you see in the movies with Bob Hope, to the hospitals, lunch rooms, and bedside of the injured, it was one of the most sobering and wonderful opportunities of my career.

It was scary, there were times we wondered if we would be shot down from our chinook (helicopter) as we flew from FOB (Forward Operating Base) to FOB over the mountains of Afghanistan.

It was like we were in another world - and we actually were. If you haven’t experienced war then you are blessed, and hopefully you honor those who defend our freedoms as the military continually does.

On top of having an unforgettable time performing, we were uplifted by the power and strength of those in harm’s way.

Cardio Miracle as a company stands with those who fight for us, and have written extensively about this in other articles, supported events, and given ample donations to the cause.

The promise is to show up.

Be present for those who matter the most to you. This is how you can extend and stand up for the freedoms we enjoy.

Concerned about your freedom?

  • Get out and vote.
  • Say something.
  • Make a difference.
  • Serve in your community.
  • Go to Church.
  • Pray with your Family and then act on your commitments.

What struck me the most about those serving overseas to preserve our freedoms?

The focus on their physical health.

Yes, they worked daily on their mental game, but keeping in tip top shape at all times was the priority, as once you let that slip - the one thing you can control - other aspects of life will get away from you.

You can’t protect the nation, the world, and your freedom, if you aren’t healthy enough to protect yourself.

Now let’s think about you.

You’re probably not on the front lines of a battlefield, but rather may be facing the health challenges that creep up from neglect, naivete, or negative behaviors.

It is time now to make a course correction, and if not for yourself, do it for your family.

Showing Up Starts with Your Health

It’s easy to think about health as something separate from everything else on your plate.

Something you’ll get to later.
Something that sits off to the side.

But the reality is, it’s connected to all of it, every portion of each thing you do. When you don’t have your health, it’s fairly difficult to succeed, find happiness, and compete at a high level.

Your energy affects how present you are with your family.
Your physical health impacts your ability to lead, provide, and serve.
Your consistency shapes what you’re able to carry day after day.

Taking care of your body isn’t just about you.

It influences how you show up for everything else.

Faith and Stewardship

For many people, faith plays a role in how they approach their lives—including their health.

There’s an understanding that what we’ve been given; our time, our abilities, our bodies, is something we’re meant to take care of.

Not perfectly. But intentionally.

Health becomes less about appearance… and more about stewardship.

If your body were a gift, would the giver be grateful for how you have honored that gift?

If you had a chance to have a do-over with your body and health, what would you do differently with a fresh start?

As I think of this idea, recently I was working out with my 18 year old son.

He chose many years ago to take control of his health at a fanatical level. He stopped eating sugar voluntarily, not due to any diagnosis, just realizing if he wanted to look and feel great, he needed to abstain from certain foods.

He began committing mornings, afternoons and evenings to countless situps and pushups.

We would ask him to come downstairs for family prayer, and would find him with his headphones on cranking out more than a hundred situps before bed.

He was a machine.

Eventually he began focusing on basketball, became a great player, and later on bodybuilding with weights.

I looked at his physique the other day and exclaimed, “Son! Look at your body! Look what you’ve created! You look like a Greek god!”

And he does. Chiseled, defined, healthy, strong as an ox.

I jokingly suggested he may as well not wear a shirt for the rest of his senior year of high school.

We laughed, but I told him if I could change one thing about my health as a youth, it would have been to establish habits like he did when I was his age. It would have helped me foundationally to build upon something so powerful now as a man in my late forties trying to make up for lost time.

I’m very proud of my son for many reasons, and it is a manifestation of his efforts and dedication when he flexes in the mirror.

Freedom Requires Strength

Freedom is something we value deeply.
But it isn’t something that sustains itself.

It requires people who are able to carry responsibility, think clearly, and continue showing up…even when it’s not easy.

Physical health plays a role in that.

Because when your body is supported, you’re better equipped to handle what life asks of you.

What level of strength is required?

For some, it’s the ability to get out of bed. For others, it’s climbing the highest mountain.

What is your Everest? Because it will be different for every person.

A Different Way to Look at It

What if health wasn’t just about outcomes?
What if it was about readiness?

The ability to:

  • Be present with your family
  • Stay consistent in your responsibilities
  • Continue growing and contributing

I have given some examples that are extreme and may feel unfamiliar - performing for war soldiers, watching my son become a bodybuilder, consistent prayer with family - but what about your aspirations?

Something as simple and powerful as a promise to reach for a new level in life.

Not just for a season, but for the long term.
Every day. What can you commit to right now? Sustainable, practical, but requires your best effort.

Where Cardio Miracle Fits

Consider what you consume.

Energy drinks?
Coffee and lattes all day?
A drink to wind down for bed?

Choose wisely, it will all add up, your body will respond accordingly.

Cardio Miracle isn’t meant to replace the things that matter most, such as diet, exercise, lifestyle shifts, great sleep, walks in the sun, sauna and extra care you can give your body.

It’s not a shortcut.

It’s not a substitute for discipline or daily habits. It’s simply a support.

Something you can build into your routine to help your body function well, so you can keep showing up where it matters most.

Adding nitric oxide and vitamin D3 to your daily supplemental routine through Cardio Miracle very well could be the jumpstart you need to your best life.
