Is There Lead in my Cardio Miracle? Our Official Response to California Prop 65

For many decades, California has had its share of challenges with laws needing to be implemented, due to the wild and crazy nature of its citizens coming up with issues that confuse most of us who live in reality. Here are a few of their wacky laws for example:

  • Women may not drive in a housecoat
  • It is illegal to walk an elephant down Market Street in San Francisco without a leash
  • In Walnut, it is illegal to fly a kite higher than 10 feet

If you would like more examples, Google it.

It’s hilarious and absurd.

It’s California.

As is the case with this most recent issue that has come to our attention, where Cardio Miracle has had the exciting opportunity to deal with this ridiculousness in real time over the “lead” conversation.

A quick biology lesson for the kids in the back with their eyes crossed and the sideways hat:

Lead is found in nearly anything and everything that is natural.

In fact, it’s in your vegetables on your table, if you happen to have a carrot, beet, radish or sweet potato on the menu, you’d better watch out! Here comes the lead convo.

By the way, be careful where you walk, as it’s in the dirt under your feet as you walk to a clean California beach, as you dodge used needles and other drug paraphernalia of the homeless atrocity that is the now outdatedly named Golden State.

Careful giving your grandkids any fruit juice! There’s most likely a trace amount of lead in that as well, so perhaps reaching for a Diet Coke is a better choice to avoid the lead and fill them with aspartame instead.

Hoping the sarcastic tone is screaming through in this article, as California continues to prove its “mettle” (pun intended, spelling required) in being the most woke, random, bizarre, and embarrassing state in the country.

However, we have customers whom we love who happen to live in California.

We as a company love so many things about the state, as frequent visitors, despite its leadership, since it has so much to offer.

And the Founder of the company, John Hewlett, found his beloved spouse, Janet, in California, where she grew up to be a most incredible matriarch of our company.

So, because of that, we haven’t given up, or banned sending Cardio Miracle, to California, even when it’s extremely annoying to try and do business there.

Years ago, decades even, natural supplements began having its own “California Nightmares” (see: The Mamas & The Papas almost hit, before they switched the words to “Dreamin’”) due to random claims made by the squeaky few who point out the obvious - “There’s LEAD in this!” they scream, from their uneducated pedestal.

This then inserted, sadly so, into the narrative and collective minds of many Californians, the great fear of lead in all supplements forever more, mandating propositions and scaring people from taking health into their own hands, and instead, running to the medical establishments that have profited from the lack of education in such thinking.

Is the CA government involved in this? Absolutely. And thus they have made it nearly impossible for so many natural health companies to survive their mandates.

But we have yet to give up the fight to get the world’s greatest nitric oxide supplement to those who stand with us in their effort to claim & live a healthy lifestyle, even in the state founded by those in search of metals in the earth….

For the concerned, for the ones who are worried about the trace amounts of lead that naturally occur in all of nature and in all places, this is our official, transparent, and legal update for anyone interested in reading.

Yes, a little more transparency as well: it’s a pain to spend time, legal fees, and shipping updates on this, and yes, we do it because we care about you, and our great California customers, as an America First company.

And also yes, if you live in CA, you’ll get this official notice printed in every single package directly from our Cardio Miracle headquarters in SLC, UT from now on, because - well - that’s the world we live in, and that is our promise to our customers.

The above was written by the impassioned and tongue in cheek sense of humor personality our company espouses, while the following is the official response from the legal team.

Time to get serious.

Enjoy the legalese.

Transparency Update: Proposition 65 Labeling Notice for Cardio Miracle

Dear Valued Cardio Miracle Customer,

At Cardio Miracle, we are proud to provide a premium nutritional supplement formulated with a powerful blend of natural fruits, vegetables, amino acids, mushrooms, and other essential ingredients designed to support cardiovascular health and overall wellness.

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance, we are providing this update regarding labeling changes related to California’s Proposition 65 (The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986). Cardio Miracle recently received notice that, under California law, products sold within the state that contain even trace amounts of certain naturally occurring substances, including lead, may require a specific warning label.

It is important to understand the context: lead is a naturally occurring element found in soil and, by extension, in virtually all plant-based foods. Ingredients such as organic beets, carrots, spinach, and other vegetables naturally absorb trace minerals—including lead—from the environment. Proposition 65 mandates warning labels for products that result in exposures above extremely low thresholds (e.g., 0.5 micrograms per day for lead), regardless of whether such exposure presents any actual risk or is naturally sourced. These thresholds are significantly lower than those considered safe by the FDA and other international health agencies.

To ensure full compliance with California law—and out of an abundance of caution—we are now including the required Proposition 65 warning on our packaging for all products sold in California. This is not an admission of any health concern or regulatory violation. We stand by the quality, safety, and efficacy of Cardio Miracle, which is manufactured with strict quality controls and independently tested by third-party laboratories.

This labeling update is a proactive measure intended to meet California-specific requirements and does not reflect any change to the formulation, safety, or effectiveness of Cardio Miracle. We remain confident in the product and its health benefits, and are committed to maintaining the highest standards for our customers in all jurisdictions.

If you have any questions, our support team is available to assist you.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.

Sincerely,
  The Cardio Miracle Team
